Lost & Found
Lost & Found
All this talk of peace and bliss!
My path is more of my ego's uprising,
burning in revolution to remain in charge.
Without separate and alone who am I?
Is this discontent a case of mistaken identity?
Through screams and wails of shredding fear,
I am dragged towards the revealing dawn.
Grasping backward into the rubble I scratch and cling
to my old cloak of flawed and broken parts.
But the humbled façade of who I was begins to smolder in the wreckage, turning ego's illusions into ash.
In exhausted surrender, I finally release my grip and tumble
on to the doorstep of Union.
I exhale, permitting myself to take rest in the Divine still water.
I open my weary eyes to witness my own reflection
in God's shining grace.
I am home.

Wow Thank you so much for sharing this amazing post. I loved the line "But the humbled façade of who I was begins to smolder in the wreckage, turning ego’s illusions into ash." Really I understand that feeling and never being able to go back.
