Swami Stone's path began by memorizing biblical scriptures at the age of five-six. She knew when she was eight that she was here to do the work of Spirit, based upon a vision that she had where she chose to serve mankind for Good, rather than serve the darkness of this world - against mankind. Upon fear of death, she chose to help and serve the 'God/good' of humankind over the darkness, or what some refer to as evil.

"Hinduism, Buddhism, and native American beliefs have traditions whereby gods and spirits descend to earth in human form to help or hinder humanity.[22]" (wikipedia/avatar).

She got to work right away. her mother needed constant advice on family finances and sibling behavior as she was lost without the help of her dead husband. Her mother, a tiger on the Chinese horoscope, was impressive, but was a child in many respects herself and was not wise in the ways of the world. What an inspiration she became though, doing a superior job raising the four children. She was devoted to God and Jesus and loved prayer.

She thrived on scripture reading and would pray with all of the children in the main room of the home, many times 30 to 60 minutes each night. She gave singing and scripture lessons many times per week in addition to obtaining piano lessons for each of them, private schooling, being a cub scout leader, and got the girls into girl scouts and blue birds in addition to working full time - after being a stay at home mom from before, without these responsibilities.

Swami had gone into the hospital get her tonsils out and when she awoke after surgery, there was something very different about her. This world is the same world where Swami fell asleep before surgery, as many would muse, to have her tonsils removed but when she awoke the little girl who fell asleep in the hospital, was no longer there when Sharon awoke. The surroundings seemed much older than she was accustomed to, like going back into time itself, though she was not frightened, at all. She understood where she was and who the people in her life were, but things were different, she felt very different. She felt much like she does today, as an adult, very compassionate and wanting to help others with their problems and a lot less concerned about her own needs. The silly girl who had once inhabited her, was gone. She felt like she needed to 'get to work', so Swami 'hit the ground running'. She felt that she was here for others to help them to find happiness and peace in their lives and their minds. She had begun counseling other's at that time on the importance of finding and living one's own dharma.

She had had many experiences as a child that told her that she was different from others after that experience. When at church, though she seemed very comfortable and happy, did not view herself as other's viewed themselves. Since her 'awakening' in the hospital she did not view right and wrong the same, nor salvation and damnation either. She had lost her fear of evil, or the devil and did not feel as if she needed 'saving' anymore. She felt a constant companion to God, or Jesus, who was with her both night and day. She never felt alone again as she understood that she was receiving lots of help from divine sources. When times got very difficult while she was in school and other's teased her, she felt God talking to her and telling her that she should not 'be distracted', that she had to focus on the future and that she had something very important to do here. She was an adult, forced to go through childhood, as if she were a child. It was very difficult and she had to develop a very strong faith in who she was and why she was here, so as not to become too disheartened over the small slights and trauma's of life.

Swami had always felt that it was odd though that in the vision she had had with the 'devil', that he had seemed so perplexed, that she, of all other souls he had come to gather, had not been given a 'choice' of 'who' she would serve, but that she "was NOT her own", that was what she heard herself saying or thinking back to him when he threatened her. She comiserated with him and his impossible task while telling him that even if she'd wanted to, she could not change her mind or destiny, to please him. She did not appear frightened at all of her death or what might befall her by her refusal to his offer, because she felt atimate, that she was here for mankind, and for mankind alone. She knew that she was here on a mission to serve and help, and if not to help, then to die. She did not die though, instead, he let her go....an avatar had been born.

"In the Torah, angels only appeared to men in a human disguise, and never without one.[6] In the Old Testament apocryphal Book of Tobit, the Archangel Raphael takes on human disguise and the name of Azarias.[12] (Child and Colles note that '[...] he appears as a mere man, an archangel incognito as it were".[13]) The Book of Genesis tells of three angels visiting Abraham in human disguise (Gen.18),[14] and two visiting Lot in Sodom (Gen.19).[15] Philosophy professor Peter Kreeft has asserted that when an angel wears its human disguise, human beings cannot penetrate the disguise due to the superior abilities angels possess; Kreeft cites as proof Hebrews 13:2: "... some people have entertained angels without knowing it."[16] Child and Colles summarize: "The angels in the Old Testament were known to be messengers of God, sent to do his will, usually invisible and mysterious, but sometimes coming without wings in the guise of men." Fast Forward four years:
Swami Stone began on her path to formally study spiritual truths when she was twelve years old by insisting that her mother send her to private religious schools. Her quest for understanding was insatiable and, what she had assumed, was sparked by the death of her father, as well as ongoing spiritual dreams and visions in her youth. She experienced strange thoughts going through her mind on a regular basis of having a significant destiny in world events. She possessed a knowing that she was not a normal person who needed religion in the traditional sense. She understood that her very existence was significant and was surprised when other's were not aware of her destiny as well. She has been a prophet from a young age, often times spouting edicts or wisdom from no-where and getting into trouble over it on occasion, but fearlesly continuing on regardless of how she was received. She would recognize and confront adults on dysfunctional behaviors which caused them to take a step back out of fear of exposure in shock over what came out of her mouth.

Swami Stone was driven to understand the mechanics of how God worked. Having also had many mystical experiences as a child she desired to further understand the mysteries of God and what effects spirit were having upon her life. As a child Swami began with a few different fundamentalist Christian sects and went on to study Mystic Christianity, World and Eastern religions, mythologies and philosophies adding several to her repertoire.

After studying Yogi Philosophy and theosophy under a Yogi Master (Elinore Hill of the Spiritualist traditions/Theosophical society in California) she became proficient in Yoga philosophies, Taoism and self-realization practices. Swami Stone had also become a prolific meditator by 1997. At the completion of her initiatory training she was instructed to go forth and teach as a Guru or Rama. Swami Stone then made the decision by way of her teacher to become a Swami, or one who is dedicated to the path of complete self-relization as being the main focus in her life. She took the name of Yogi Rama Raj Kumari, Rama meaning precious one (the title of a teacher) and Raj Kumari, the Sanskrit translation of Sharon, a Jewish derivative of Sarah. Ramaraaja felt that it was no accident that spirit chose her original name and opted not to alter it except by translating it into Sanskrit. Her middle name means Reborn (Renee'), and her last name is Stone, which when translated from English into Sanskrit is Parvati, or the wife of Shiva. Her full name meaning is Royal Girl (RajKumari) - Reborn (punarjAta) - Stone (Parvati). Swami Stone did not take on the formal title of Swami until 2009 when she converted the Sharon Stone Institute into the Mystic Tiger Ashram and that is what she is known by today.

Swami Stone began formulating her Going Clear methods in her mid to late twenties after a spiritual realization of the importance of having personal authenticity regardless of religiously taught dogmas when applied to spiritual matters. She realized that the 'church' can teach you what it will, but that you still have a responsibility to keep your own connection to God truthful regardless of the judgments or perceptions of others and in spite of those perceptions. She realized that 'man' and ministerial staff had no authority to tell others how to behave and think and that it was a personal relationship with God alone that could dictate how ones actions must be determined by that person. She realized the contradictions that can take place when followers of 'truth' blindly follow whatever they are taught regardless of personal authenticity and that leaders of church organizations would not agree with this logic. This realization brought on a deep spiritual melancholy in Ramaraaja called the 'Dark Night of the Soul', St John of the Cross in the fall of 1987.

Swami Stone unknowingly began creating her self-help methods to try to cope with this growing 'Dark Night' of uneasiness and dissatisfaction with her life over the next ten years. The Catholics refer to this spiritual melancholy as 'The Dark Night of the Soul' by St John of the Cross. Ramaraaja in her quest to comprehend her dark night experience, experimented with many different religions and philosophies including Scientology, Buddhism, Hinduism and Catholicism. She tried counseling, diet/nutrition therapy, exercise, hypnotherapy and esoteric healing modalities to relieve her spiritual depression but nothing seemed to work as the answers had to come from within her..

Swami Stone had also struggled through school due to a condition called dyslexia and is a three dimensional visual thinker, so two-dimensional learning has always been difficult for her. Her verbal/visual cortex cannot process information very quickly. She also has the ability of gestalt where she could write down an answer to a problem but be unable to show the work involved in coming up with the answer. Gestalt, not to be confused with Gestalt Psychology, is where a person will learn a small percentage of a topic of study and then suddenly just know the subject and much of what is needed for application and usage without necessarily having the words to describe or communicate what they know. It is much like having a savant syndrome. Ramaraaja has an uncanny ability to recognize mechanical and mental processes in herself and others which helps them to make corrections in their Cognitive Behaviors that can bring them to enlightenment and personal peace of mind. Gestalt is a form of Clair gnosis from a spiritual perspective. Using this gestalt ability made her a type of profiler or possessing great ability to just know things that there was no logical reason for her to know. She desired to know why she had these different, seemingly strange abilities and why others did not. Ramaraaja has exhibited qualities similar to who have also been speculated to be autistic and be highly functioning autistics with AD or Asperger's Disorder. Ramaraaja's talents involve understanding what and how makes people tick and how to help them to overcome the things that are troubling to them in their lives.

Being a three dimensional thinker in a world designed for a two dimensional learning process may have been a contributing factor to her melancholy but the condition may have also been a benefit for her to figure the way out of it. Because as well as make a life more difficult for whomever has a different learning style it can also bring a much needed unique perspective on life and philosophy that has helped Ramaraaja to glean what works out of a pile of suggestions which do not work.

She had been studying martial arts in Spring of 1995 and was required to break boards to qualify for her next level. At the point in time that she was being tested something strange happened. She was breaking a board when she entered into an altered state of consciousness. She lost time for a split second and had slipped into a state where time was moving in very slow motion. Her mind became very quiet in a room filled with many people talking and it was completely silent in her head. Though it felt as if she was going very slowly she was actually moving very quickly and the board was broken in an instant with her hand having no memory of ever touching it. This really bothered her, because she had no basis for understanding what just happened. When she confronted her instructor about this 'state' that she had slipped into, he feigned ignorance so she left the school. She now knew what she was trying to grasp and it involved the mystical, not the physical realms.

She began to meditate in May of 1995 realizing that there was nothing left for her to try. She felt that the way meditation was typically taught was incorrect and began by lying down. Through meditation she began to recall the teachings of Christ and others that had stuck with her over the years and chose to apply them to her life at slightly different angle then she was taught to do previously. They all of a sudden made sense to her and using this different perspective caused her to understand how easy it was to get clear in her head over her life. She could now see that the words of saints and Jesus were a code for living with much more meaning than was taught to her previously. She could now see that the teachings of spiritual beings had more to do with psychological ways to live rather than misunderstood useless rituals taught by many who do not understand the 'why'. Spiritually and emotionally life felt easier for her than it had been prior.

Swami Stone experienced a profound Cosmic Consciousness or an adult Peak Experience (Abraham Maslow) in August of 1995, shortly after beginning meditation in May. She felt like a different person as a result of the experience. Some in the 'new age movement' would refer to this as a possible walk in scenario, however Ramaraaja reserves descriptors or reasons why as unnecessary to ponder on her path. She believes that becoming too focused upon oneself and one's mystical experiences can be a deterrent to spiritual humility and helping others. She felt new at this time and could not relate to her existing life as a business woman and wife. She went into marital seclusion and began to live a life of meditation and contemplation as her primary goal with the permission of her then husband.

Swami Stone had many questions and by January of 1996 she met Elinore Hill, a teacher who had connections in the Spiritualist Church and the Theosophical Society lineage who guided Ramaraaja through books and videos from Joseph Campbell, Houston Smith, Deepak Chopra and Yogi Swami Ramacharaka. This brought Swami Stone much more peace of mind and answers but still she could feel the 'Dark Night of the Soul' pressing upon her with unanswered questions that may never come. For months through 1995 and 1996 Swami Stone continued to experience the energies of Cosmic Consciousness rolling through her body - up to ten times per day and also began to experience mysticism and miracles in more profound ways. She began to have experiences of teleportation in her life where she moved from one place to another when necessary and without explanation as to how it happened. This was disturbing, to say the least because she had no visible form of control over it. She also began to have life-altering visions during meditation sessions. Swami Stone was meditating over five hours per day at this time and training with Hill several hours per day in addition. By 1997 Swami Stone had began to combine the most logical and fail safe spiritual and psychological teachings that she had been mastering throughout her life and created the 'Steps to Personal Power and Transformation' that were influenced by western psychology, Jesus and Buddhist based logic and teachings. Buddhism philosophy in the current day is having a great impact upon the system of psychology and has been profoundly instrumental in helping individuals to become more healthy psychologically, emotionally and spiritually.

Swami Stone's new spiritual cognitive behavioral system became her new way of being. In using these methods her spiritual heaviness of the 'dark night' had began to clear and she found a way that she could truly minister to others. She did not even realize what she was doing until she began to write the Alchemist newsletter in June 1997 in KC, MO. Feeling much more content spiritually as if she were on the right path she wanted to share what she had done with others so she created the Going Clear Weekends which began as 'Steps to Personal Power and Transformation' which were published in the Alchemist Newsletter throughout 1997.

Deeper into the dark night...
She began teaching her new methods in 1998 at the request of her readers in Kansas City, Missouri and continued to meditate several hours per day. By 1999 she continued to have profound visions that caused her to question the source as they seemed unreal or false. Grandiose visions that would cause the ego to become stronger and this caused her to take pause and step back from the forces at work in her life. Miracles had become easier for her at this time and with them her suspicions of foul play as well. She then took a rest from meditations and began to pray for a new teacher who could tell her what was happening in her life as she did not want to encourage her ego to be affected by giving it power over her honed 'senses'.

Months went by until she met an ex-Catholic mystic Christian shaman who was a spiritually seasoned master. She told this shaman what she had been experiencing and that she did not trust the miracles or the visions she had been having and the shaman told her to pray for wisdom, that was all. He said that with wisdom comes spiritual power, compassion and knowledge. He also told her that she needed to chose between the high road or the low road. He said that many chose the low road, the road to small miracles and large egos. He said that they do not go far because they are driven by their egos and do not help very many people because they lack wisdom but were anxious to be gurus, so settled. He told her that the high road meant that she would suffer much pain, because wisdom brings pain, but that she would be much more effective as a result of that pain. She chose the high road in a moment because she had been on this path since eight years of age and was not going to settle for being a common guru. She wanted to make a difference in peoples lives.

Swami Stone prayed for about a month but nothing happened. She went back to the shaman and asked what the problem was, he asked what her goal was in praying and she told him that she wanted more spiritual power. He said that was the wrong motivation and to go and pray again. She went and prayed for another month, but nothing happened again. When she asked the shaman what went wrong he asked what was her motivation in praying this time? She told him, compassion. She told him that she wanted to be filled with compassion for all people so that she could help them. He told her that her motivation was still wrong and that she needed to pray for wisdom, for wisdom's sake and no other reason. She got very serious then and began to pray, several times per day. She beat the pillows and demanded wisdom and cried out to God to give it to her.

About a month later she was in the shower and it came to her. She understood, she understood everything. She laughed then, but realized that there was something that she must do. She must stop being a guru, a teacher, because there was nothing at that time that she could offer anyone except her ego. She told her teacher what she had experiened and he told her that she had experienced Zen consciousness.

She went into seclusion once more. For about a month she felt empty from what she had learned, and wondered what the next step was. It was all at once that it came...like a storm, a torrent renting her to her knees. The knowledge of the 'Dark Night of the Soul', St John of the Cross. For the next five months she re-lived her entire life and was being shown her motivations over the course of her lifetime in the ministry and the folly of it all. She was shown how she enjoyed the attention of being a 'good' person. Even though she thought that her heart was in the right place, at the time, how it was desiring the accolades and the approval of a good job, well done.

Her ego had enjoyed a lifetime of being the 'good girl'. She had been full of spiritual pride in her life and had never explored her dark side of doing things that others had regretted doing, because she had always 'done the right thing', always, and now, it seemed, it was betraying her. She read what the shaman told her to read, under his guidance. It felt like God, who had always been there for her her entire life, was gone. She prayed to a brick ceiling. God had left her. The shaman explained that when a person is going through this time in their lives it is not because God left, but because God pulled them closer, into the light. He explained that when we are in darkness we feel as if we are clean and circumspect, but once in the light we can see the dirt and imperfections that have always been there. She came to question everything at that time.

She questioned everything that she had been taught and had taught; as well as everything that she had learned. Towards the end, she even questioned the existence of God too. Everything had been systematically dismantled and stripped from her consciousness. She mourned her life in that time, and felt remorse for all of her unwitting pride and preaching while in the Christian ministry. She realized that spiritual perfection is not the goal. She had to rebuild. She had to ask about and ponder everything from then on and could no longer take anything for granted. She learned that staying true to ones own integrity is much more necessary than the need to be accepted and approved of by the overly religious. No one could achieve the goal, the ideal, because as soon as they do they will be ruined from pride that comes from such perfection. Now she was free, free from needing to help others, because she couldn't, free from being good, because she wasn't, free from being needed, because she could not possibly help. She knew that if God wanted to use her at this point, it would be all God and she, just a vessel, now broken, because God cannot use a whole person, they must be a broken person or they will do harm, albeit inadvertently.

At the end of this experience in February of 2000, Swami Stone made a mental note of what was absolutely real in her mind and one of the lessons that she had written (after praying for something to 'teach' in 1997) came to her. She asked herself if this was something that was lasting and real, and she decided that it was a law in human nature. She did this with all four of her 'Steps to Personal Power', and then she felt that she could teach it again and not worry about it being superfluous, but substantial in the self-healing, introspective level of therapy that she could bring to others. So she began to teach again in the year 2000.

In uncovering the mysteries of her life Swami Stone has learned how to help others to uncover the mysteries of their lives. She helps them to determine and peel away what is holding them back so they may FIND out who they really are. This work is the fountain of youth everyone is searching for because "The fountain of youth is in the truth." Swami Ramaraaja Stone.
