Hi. I'm Corinne. I divide my time between South Wales, UK, and Brittany, France where I live with my husband, Len, and my dog, Charlie. I am just celebrating the birth of my first grandson, still unnamed but gorgeous. I was a teacher for 30 years, but now I nolonger work I enjoy reading, writing, travelling and treading the spiritual path. I have written "A String of Pearls, a Yearbook of Daily Inspiration to Soothe the Soul and Rekindle the Spirit". I hope to share it & the journey with you.
When life seems hectic and we feel overwhelmed by events this inspirational verse from "A String of Pearls" reminds us to slow down to the speed of life. My life has been hectic of late and I know that in order to regain my equilibrium I need to take it easy, take it slow.
It has been a busy day here in South Wales. My grandson is now named, Jacob James, lovely names for a beautiful baby boy. What a miracle to see new life beginning. And in the midst of life there is death too with the death of the mother of a friend of mine and the sudden death of a friend of my own. And also a reminder today to be kind, kind to others and kind to ourselves too. This daily inspiration from "A String of Pearls" March 16 reminds us to be kind.
It has been a beautiful day here in Wales, UK and after so many wet August days it has been fantastic to enjoy blue skies and warm sunshine. I have been lucky, too, to enjoy today in the company of good friends. How blessed we are if enjoy the gift of friendship. As this inspirational verse from "A String of Pearls" reminds us the gift of friendship is truly a gift without price.
This inspirational verse is taken from "A String of Pearls, A Yearbook of Daily Inspiration to Soothe the Soul and Rekindle the Spirit" January 6 This verse reminds us that nothing stays the same. Even in the midst of trial and trouble, if we can find the courage to keep "Soldiering On" things will get better. I wrote this to remind myself that even when things look bleak I can change my focus. When I remember to count my blessings a miracle occurs. I begin to feel better!
