dance and find a better human being in you

Since long people have used dance as one of the forms of expression. But recently dance has been demonstrated to be effective in improving body image, self-esteem, attentiveness, communication skills, and above all mental agility & alertness. Since an agile body houses an agile mind and physically, dance helps us stay fit and enhance correct posture thereby increasing our physical efficiency. If we are slouching all the time, we tend to get lazy & tired, and end up giving less than our hundred percent.Ballroom and latin american dances, in particular can reduce stress, fears and anxieties, as well as lessen feelings of isolation, body tension, chronic pain, and depression. Dancing is about carving out a space for oneself on the stage or on the floor (as in life) while one keeps moving. If we could make this very essence translate to our own lives we would become warm, confident, loving, self assuring individuals capable of handling our own problems, and also helping others in theirs. Dance therapy workshops, an emerging concept that is being introduced even at the management training sessions of corporate houses, uses this power of movement to promote not only personal and career growth, but also health and wellness in spirit.
