Follow the spiritual path that inspires you most

We all have the karma to take one spiritual path or another, and I would encourage you, from the bottom of my heart, to follow with complete sincerity the path that inspires you most.
If you go on searching all the time, the searching itself becomes an obsession and takes you over. You become a spiritual tourist, bustling about and never getting anywhere. As Patrul Rinpoche says: “You leave your elephant at home and look for its footprints in the forest.” Following one teaching is not a way of confining you or jealously monopolizing you. It’s a compassionate and practical way of keeping you centered and always on your path, despite all the obstacles that you, and the world, will inevitably present.

I would like to be able to choose among the many paths that I have explored. I do not know which one is right for me. Do you have some ideas that will help me to narrow it down?

My own experience with choosing a path has two aspects. The first and most important I believe is to feel a deep hunger for freedom, peace or however you define the One Goal. After I felt that deeply, many years ago my path found me. That was the second step. Perhaps there is a third one, to be true to your path, to that inner guidance and not be blown around by ego desires and the search for distractions and novelty - but that brings us back to #1, the deep desire to be free. That'll take care of that.
If you want to be free, you'll be guided. Listen to the voice of the heart. It's worked for me all the time. |

I've been down that route, where I was exposed to different paths. And it took me a great deal of time to find the right one for me. You have to remember that there are no right or wrong path, just a path and the right one for you.
I never fit in any church, or religion I love my freedon and love the fact that I don't have to be under no patronage or rule. I found that all of that leads to confusion. So the first thing I reccomend you to do is listen to your heart and ask God or whoever spiritual being you believe in to guide you. If you are a follower by all means join a group, the problem is. that you never get to really know what's good for you. Everyone has it own oppinions and some of them might think that they ideas are the rights ones. I encounter that everywhere, all the time. Once you decided whic path to take then do some reading and some meditation. My path is very spiritual and one of the most ancient ones, which many religions find wrong because once again, they think their path is the right on. Me? I am happy to know I finally discover my path, the right one for me. I hope you find yours as well, whichever you decided to, Best wishes and many blessings! Darien |
